Dr. Payton Cook, a Richmond native, is a knowledgeable Orthodontist who is passionate about transforming smiles in her hometown. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida where she majored in Biomedical Sciences with a dual minor in Biomedical Physics and Biomedical Engineering. It was here that Dr. Cook competed as a Division 1 student athlete and held the role of captain of the women’s soccer team. 

She decided to pursue a career in dentistry and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Dentistry. She then earned her certificate in Orthodontics from University of Texas Health and Science Center at Houston.

Dr. Cook is a member of several prestigious organizations including: The American Association of Orthodontists Foundation Vanguard Society, American Association of Orthodontists, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Texas Orthodontic Foundation and the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity.

Dr. Cook is dedicated to providing top-notch orthodontic care with a gentle touch in an environment that is warm and welcoming. She strives to keep her patients at ease and looks forward to the day they are finished with their treatment. She loves seeing their expressions once their braces are removed! Dr. Cook finds it rewarding to play a role in her patients’ incredible transformations with clear aligners and braces in Richmond.

Dr. Cook is married and, outside of the office, enjoys spending time with her husband and their families. She enjoys spending time at the gym, exploring the outdoors and running on Richmond’s many trails.
