RPDO's logo, representing Dr. Christopher Maestrello's retirement After more than 30 years of caring for Richmond’s youngest smiles, Dr. Christopher Maestrello is retiring from Pediatric Dentistry.

A Newport News native, Dr. Maestrello began his journey at the University of Richmond before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery and completing pediatric dentistry training at the Medical College of Virginia (now VCU School of Medicine). Over the decades, he has been a dedicated and compassionate provider, active in numerous professional organizations and affiliated with several local hospitals.

Dr. Maestrello credits the fun of Pediatric Dentistry and the joy of working with children for keeping him young throughout his career. His passion, commitment, and sense of humor helped make visits to the dentist a little brighter for generations of families in the Richmond area.

While in retirement, you’ll find Dr. Maestrello traveling for running and bike races or spending time with his family. Though he is stepping away from Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Maestrello will continue to practice Dental Anesthesiology in Richmond and surrounding areas.

Please join us in wishing Dr. Maestrello a joyful and well-earned retirement!
