Richmond Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is pleased to welcome Sarah Yi, DDS! Dr. Sarah Yi is a pediatric dentist and native Virginian from Manassas who is excited to join the team. She looks forward to providing Richmond area families with compassionate, educational and, most importantly, fun pediatric dentistry care!
Dr. Sarah Yi’s Education
Dr. Yi attended Virginia Commonwealth University for her bachelor’s degree in Biology, where she graduated with honors. She continued her studies at VCU School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Her big heart and desire to care for children led her to train in pediatric dentistry at Children’s Hospital Colorado, a top pediatric hospital.

Dr. Yi is proud to have graduated at the top of her class, receiving awards for her volunteer work, character and dedication. Before returning to Richmond, she spent time in Indiana, where she cared for underserved children at a public health center.
Her Patient Care Philosophy
Dr. Yi aims to provide a joyful, personalized experience for every child. Her goal is for parents to feel confident in her care and for children to feel comfortable returning to the dentist. She loves finding fun, educational ways to teach healthy habits and reduce dental anxiety. Her philosophy is that it’s important to “whistle while you work,” maintaining a positive attitude—and even singing to patients for a smile.
Outside of the Office
When she’s not working, Dr. Yi enjoys relaxing with her husband and two rescue dogs, Clover and Daphney. She is an avid crafter, potter and home decorator.
