When you come into our office, you will be greeted with a warm welcome by our friendly team. They will get you or your child checked in and help get you acquainted with our light and airy office space before taking you back to the exam chair to meet with one of our skilled, compassionate orthodontists.
Medical & Oral Health Review
Before we dive into your oral assessment, our team will go over your complete medical and oral health history. This allows us to get to know you and your case well in order to provide the best treatment options. In addition to your general health records, we will need to discuss your past dental visits and treatments, including your last X-rays and more. By providing thorough information into your health, we are able to determine if you have any cavities, gum disease or other oral health issues that may need to be treated prior to beginning your orthodontic treatment.
Examination & Imaging
Our team will perform a thorough evaluation of you or your child’s mouth, teeth and gums. An oral examination allows our doctors to spot any problems that may not have come up during your medical review. This is similar to your routine dental exam, where our orthodontist will use dental tools to assess the health of your teeth, their alignment and your bite. We may also take X-rays to get a more in-depth look at both your teeth and jaw.
Initial Treatment Plan
Following the exam, our team will recommend the best course of action to reach your oral health goals. Dr. Bibona or Dr. Cook or will put together a treatment plan considering your lifestyle preferences and the best orthodontic appliances to fit into your daily routine. We proudly offer traditional metal braces, ceramic braces and clear aligners. We want your orthodontic treatment to be convenient and flexible for you. This is also a great time to ask any questions and express concerns you may have before we move forward with the treatment plan.
