Where did you grow up?

Originally from Schuylkill county Pennsylvania. My Dad was an officer in the Navy so we lived in many places growing up.

Where did you go to high school?

James W. Robinson High School in Fairfax, Virginia

Where did you go to college?

Penn State University

Where did you go to dental school?

Medical College of Virginia (now Virginia Commonwealth University)

Where did you go to school for orthodontics?

Medical College of Virginia (now Virginia Commonwealth University)

How long have you been an Orthodontist?

Orthodontist for 26 years. I spent two years as a hospital based dentist at UVA and two more years as a general dentist in Fairfax, Virginia prior to becoming an orthodontist.

What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not looking at teeth?

Swimming, hiking and spending time with family and friends at Smith Mountain Lake. I also enjoy playing guitar, listening to live music around town, and following high school sports.

Tell us about your family, and/or children, and/or pets?

Three grown children and one chocolate lab named Stella.

American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Richmond Dental Society

What do you enjoy most about being an orthodontist?

The work is super fun and rewarding, but the best part is the relationships we form with our patients and their families.
