COVID-19 Information

In order to keep our patients and staff safe, we are continuing to adhere to the guidelines and recommendations provided by The American Dental Association and Virginia Dental Association.

These include, but are not limited to the following:

Screening every patient, team member, and visitor who enters the office. 

You will be asked a series of questions as well as have your temperature checked prior to entering the office. We kindly ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment to allow time for these added safety measures. 

For our Pediatric Dentistry patients: Please remain inside your vehicle when you arrive for your appointment and call us to let us know you’ve arrived. An RPDO team member will meet you at your vehicle to begin the check in process. 

For our Orthodontic patients: Please proceed to our screening station at the front door when you arrive for your appointment. If you are under the age of 18 you will need to have a parent/guardian present for check-in.

Masks and Facial Coverings. 

Per local government regulation and guidelines, we ask that all patients and family members who enter the office wear a mask or facial covering.

Socially Distant Office. 

For our Pediatric Dentistry patients: One parent/guardian is welcome to accompany their child inside to their appointment and must remain with their child for the duration for their appointment. 

For our Orthodontic patients: Parent/guardians are welcome inside the waiting area while your child is in their appointment or you’re welcome to go back out to your vehicle. For the safety of our staff and other patients, no family members will be permitted inside the orthodontic clinic at this time.

Enforcing and updating our disinfection protocols for treatment areas and instruments. 

Your treatment area will be cleaned thoroughly prior to your arrival.  Our staff is also sanitizing high trafficked areas in the office routinely throughout the day.  

Enhancing our PPE.

You’ll see some of our staff in gowns, masks, head coverings, and face shields, while our front desk staff is equipped with masks and plexiglass shields.

We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as our team works hard to reschedule missed and cancelled appointments due to COVID-19. As always, if you are experiencing an orthodontic or dental emergency, please call our office and we will do our best to schedule you as soon as possible.
