After a very hot summer, the kids are finally heading back to school for the 2010-2011 year. Most of us have already prepared our children for the school year by heading to our neighborhood shopping mall to stock up on clothes, bookbags, and school supplies.
However, some families are struggling to supply their children for all the back-to-school necessities. Melissa Coleman, a dental assistant at Atkins, Maestrello and Associates for 15 years, wanted to help a local Richmond School, Hopkins Road Elementary in Chesterfield County, in need of school supplies for her mom’s Second Grade Class. Our office was able to collect many items for her mom’s classroom including pens, pencils, school paper, notebooks, glue, index cards, and bookbags.
We were so happy to help Mrs. Coleman’s class and hope they will be able to use these supplies throughout their school year!
